Essence - All you need is red | MAC - Diva

First one - from Essence - I bought last winter. I was looking for a long-lasting lipstick and this was the best one in terms of colour, lasting and price I could find. I actually love it since, even though I was kind of scared to wear it and only put it on one lip and this way I got just a piece of the color on. This fall I decided to go full on and it is the best feeling one can get. I now think that this tone is just about right - red enough to make a statement but not too much to make you look cheap.

The new MAC lipstic in shade Diva is a big step out of my comfort zone, bought it in Budapest as we were visiting with my husband and we had some more money left and decided we will not take them home and exchange since it would not be wise. And well, with opportunity like that how can one shoppoholic say no. The woman in the store was really nice and painted my lips before I made the decision and I actually fell in love. It's still a bit too much for me, but I feel like way braver and self-conscious person as I wear it. I wear it when I go out, I'm not sure if I can wear shade this dark to work, which is a shame I would love to wear it every day!

I  also must say that I love the pigmentation the MAC lipstic gives you and after buying it, I do not consider the Essence lipstic long lasting anymore, since it's mostly gone in like three hours or two sips of coffee, while the mac lipstic stays on way longer.

Will you be picking any of the red lipsticks this fall or go with the nude wave and put on nothing but a lipbalm?
